Maine to Ohio – The Struggle Continues



Capitol HillNovember 21, 2010 --- From the Irish Heritage Center in Portland, Maine to the Padraic Pearse Center in Euclid, Ohio, Fr. Sean Mc Manus promotes his Memoirs, My American Struggle for Justice in Northern Ireland.
The Fermanagh-born priest appeared at the Maine Irish Heritage Center on last Saturday, November 19; on Saturday, December 3 he will be hosted by the Padraic Pearse Center of the Irish American Club - East Side 22770 Lake Shore Blvd. Euclid, OH 44123. Contact : Pat Dowd: 440-354-7012
Euclid is just outside Cleveland and the event is at 2 PM.

The President of the Padraic Pearse Center, Pat Dowd, said: “When a person has the courage of his convictions, nothing will stop him from pursuing what he believes is right and just. Fr. Sean McManus is such a person. He has steadfastly devoted the greater part of his life to obtaining a peaceful resolution to the strife in Northern Ireland. The Padraic Parse Center is pleased to welcome Father Sean as he shares with us his memoirs at the Cleveland launch of his book.”

Well known Youngstown native and lifelong campaigner for Irish Justice, Tim Mulholland, said, “Twas a pleasure to know Fr. Sean during the darkest hours of the strife in the north of Ireland. His unwavering commitment and tireless efforts to achieve a peace with justice through the mobilization of Irish America and others have been remarkable.”

Regarding his visit to Maine last Saturday, Fr. Mc Manus said: “ I was deeply impressed by the Maine Irish Heritage Center in Portland.
